About This Position

You'll work core business hours and manage a territory that requires significant travel—up to 80% or more—visiting customer sites, attending industry events, and identifying new business opportunities. As an exempt professional, you'll operate with autonomy in managing your accounts, developing sales strategies, and closing deals that align with customer production needs. Note that employment is contingent on DMG MORI's ability to obtain and maintain any necessary export licensing.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Develop and execute sales strategies to meet revenue targets within your assigned territory
- Identify and qualify prospective customers in the manufacturing and machining sectors
- Present DMG MORI products and engineered solutions tailored to customer production requirements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing accounts to drive repeat business and upsell opportunities
- Prepare proposals and negotiate contracts that reflect both customer value and company profitability
- Travel regularly to customer locations, trade shows, and industry events
- Collaborate with technical teams and engineering to address complex customer challenges
- Track pipeline activity and forecast sales through CRM systems
Qualifications
- Proven B2B sales experience, ideally in manufacturing, industrial equipment, or capital goods
- Track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong technical acumen—ability to understand customer production processes and machinery specifications
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned sales territory
- Ability to manage multiple accounts and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
