About the Role
As a Summer Grounds Worker with Argyle Independent School District, you'll play a vital role in maintaining the physical landscape and facilities that support our school community. This is hands-on, outdoor work that requires attention to detail and a commitment to creating a clean, attractive environment for students and staff. You'll work as part of our grounds maintenance team, contributing directly to campus safety and appearance.
Key Responsibilities
- Mow, edge, and trim grass and vegetation on school grounds
- Perform landscape maintenance including weeding, planting, and mulching
- Maintain athletic fields, parking lots, and recreational areas
- Operate and maintain grounds equipment safely and effectively
- Remove debris and keep campus areas clean and orderly
- Respond to seasonal maintenance needs and special projects
- Follow safety protocols and district policies
Who We're Looking For
- Ability to perform physical labor in outdoor conditions
- Reliable transportation and consistent attendance
- Willingness to learn and operate grounds maintenance equipment
