In this full-time role, you'll lead a classroom of young learners, create meaningful educational experiences, and mentor fellow teachers in a supportive environment dedicated to child development and growth.

About the Role

As a Lead Teacher at Children's Courtyard of Coppell, you combine direct classroom instruction with team leadership. You'll design engaging activities, support children's development across cognitive and social-emotional domains, and guide assistant teachers and paraprofessionals toward excellence. This position bridges direct child care with professional mentorship, creating impact both in the classroom and throughout your teaching team.

What You'll Do

• Plan and implement developmentally appropriate learning activities that build foundational skills and foster curiosity
• Establish classroom routines, manage transitions, and maintain a safe, inclusive learning environment
• Mentor and coach assistant teachers, providing feedback and guidance to strengthen team performance
• Communicate regularly with families about their child's progress, milestones, and classroom experiences
• Observe children's learning and development, document progress, and adapt teaching strategies to meet individual needs
• Ensure health, safety, and regulatory compliance standards are met daily

What We're Looking For

• A state-recognized early childhood education teaching credential or equivalent qualification
• Hands-on experience working with young children in group settings
• Natural mentor with the ability to guide and develop other educators
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families and colleagues
• Patient, creative problem-solver with flexibility and genuine passion for child development
• CPR/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain it
