About the Role

As Lead Child Care Teacher, you'll direct an engaging, developmentally rich classroom environment where young children explore, learn, and build meaningful connections. You'll combine intentional instruction with nurturing care, fostering cognitive growth, social skills, and emotional resilience in every child under your guidance.

What You'll Do

• Design and deliver age-appropriate lessons and activities aligned with early childhood learning standards
• Lead classroom instruction, modeling best practices in child development and positive behavior guidance
• Assess children's progress through observation and documentation, sharing developmental insights with families
• Partner with teaching assistants and colleagues to maintain a safe, clean, and welcoming learning space
• Maintain consistent communication with parents about their child's experiences, milestones, and growth areas
• Ensure full compliance with Florida DCF regulations, licensing standards, and center policies
• Support a culture of inclusion, respect, and belonging for all children and families

What We're Looking For

• Florida DCF 45-hour course completion and current CDA credential or equivalent Florida-approved Lead Teacher qualification
• Demonstrated passion for early childhood education and children's developmental growth
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with both children and families
• Creative, patient approach to teaching and classroom management
• Commitment to ongoing professional development in early childhood practice
