About the Role
As an Automotive Lube Technician at Sunset Auto Family, you'll be the first point of contact for vehicle maintenance and care. Working full time in our Sumner service facility, you'll perform routine lube services, fluid replacements, and thorough vehicle inspections that help customers keep their cars running safely and efficiently. This is hands-on work where your attention to detail directly impacts customer satisfaction and vehicle reliability.
What You'll Do
- Execute oil, filter, and fluid changes following manufacturer specifications and safety standards
- Conduct multi-point inspections, identifying wear on tires, brakes, belts, hoses, and other key systems
- Rotate tires, check pressures, and replace wipers and air filters as needed
- Top off coolant, transmission fluid, washer fluid, and other vehicle fluids
- Communicate findings clearly to customers and document all work performed
- Maintain a clean, organized workspace and follow all safety protocols
- Contribute to a team environment focused on quality service and customer care
What We're Looking For
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Reliable transportation and valid driver's license
- Mechanical aptitude and ability to follow detailed instructions
- Customer service mindset—ability to explain technical findings in clear, friendly terms
- Willingness to learn and grow in automotive service
- Prior lube shop, quick-lube, or general automotive experience a plus (but training provided)
