Director, Relationship Events

The Alzheimer's Association Careers office in Dublin, Franklin County is looking for a Director, Relationship Events to spearhead the Evening of Impact Gala held in Columbus, Ohio and its surrounding activities. This full‑time role focuses on delivering fundraising targets through volunteer leadership, corporate partnerships, and meticulous event execution.

About the Role

As the director, you will oversee all aspects of the gala—from concept to post‑event analysis—ensuring the experience aligns with the association’s mission while meeting or surpassing budget objectives.

What You'll Do

• Design and manage the Evening of Impact Gala schedule, venue logistics, and program flow in Columbus, Ohio.
• Develop and execute volunteer recruitment, training, and engagement strategies to build a committed event team.
• Identify, cultivate, and secure corporate sponsorships and in‑kind contributions to support gala revenue goals.
• Monitor budgets, track expenses, and produce financial reports that demonstrate fiscal responsibility.
• Assist in the planning and growth of additional relationship‑focused events across the chapter’s portfolio.
• Collaborate with marketing, communications, and development colleagues to amplify event reach and impact.
• Evaluate event outcomes, gather feedback, and implement continuous improvement processes.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience directing large‑scale fundraising galas or similar nonprofit events.
• Strong ability to motivate and manage volunteer committees and corporate partners.
• Expertise in event budgeting, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for building lasting relationships.
• Strategic mindset with a track record of meeting or exceeding financial targets.
• Familiarity with the Alzheimer’s Association mission and the nonprofit sector is a plus.
