Cashier -Part Time

Js Weinmann is seeking a Part-Time Cashier to join the team in Wilbur Park, Saint Louis County.

About the Role

This position supports daily store operations by handling customer payments and maintaining accurate cash handling procedures. The role is scheduled for part‑time hours and reports directly to the store supervisor.

What You'll Do

• Process customer purchases by receiving cash, card, and check payments
• Operate electronic scanners, cash registers, and related point‑of‑sale equipment
• Validate checks and ensure proper authorization for card transactions
• Provide courteous service while addressing customer inquiries about payments
• Maintain a tidy checkout area and replenish supplies as needed
• Record transactions accurately and assist with end‑of‑day cash balancing

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent education; candidates with less than a high school diploma are also considered
• Basic math skills and comfort handling money
• Familiarity with cash registers or POS systems is a plus but not required
• Strong attention to detail and reliability in a fast‑paced environment
• Good communication skills and a friendly, customer‑focused attitude
• Ability to stand for extended periods and work flexible part‑time shifts
