About This Position

This is a full-time role for an experienced CDL A commercial truck driver ready to move freight across multiple states. Updike Distribution Logistics operates as a regional carrier where consistency matters: you'll work regular lanes, develop relationships with logistics partners, and know your routes. Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate a commercial vehicle across California, Arizona, Nevada, and Utah, following all FMCSA regulations and company safety protocols
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, documenting any mechanical issues and ensuring roadworthiness
• Maintain accurate logbook records and comply with Hours of Service regulations
• Load and unload freight safely, or coordinate with warehouse and dock personnel to ensure proper cargo handling
• Deliver freight on schedule while maintaining professional communication with dispatchers and customers
• Respond promptly to dispatch communications and provide updates on shipment status
• Keep the truck and cargo area clean and organized

Requirements

• Valid CDL Class A license with a clean, current driving record
• Minimum 1-2 years of commercial driving experience (OTR or regional)
• Ability to pass background check and DOT medical examination
• Professional attitude and strong safety record
• Reliable, punctual, and willing to work a consistent regional schedule
• Clear communication skills and ability to work independently

Layover pay is $75 per 24-hour period when your freight requires an overnight stop.
