Automotive Service Advisor

What You'll Do

• Welcome customers to the service drive, listen to their concerns, and conduct a thorough vehicle walk-around to document existing conditions
• Open and manage repair orders accurately, capturing all requested work and technician findings
• Translate technical diagnoses into clear, plain-language explanations so customers can make confident decisions about their vehicles
• Present repair recommendations and obtain customer approvals before any work begins
• Coordinate with service technicians and the parts department to keep jobs on schedule
• Proactively update customers on repair status and estimated completion times throughout the day
• Review completed work with customers at vehicle delivery, ensuring full satisfaction before they leave
• Maintain accurate documentation in the dealership management system and follow all manufacturer and dealership processes

What We're Looking For

• Prior experience as a service advisor, service writer, or in a comparable customer-facing automotive role
• Working knowledge of automotive systems, common repair procedures, and maintenance schedules
• Excellent verbal communication skills and a calm, professional manner under pressure
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple repair orders simultaneously
• Proficiency with dealership management software; experience with CDK or Reynolds & Reynolds is a plus
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Genuine commitment to customer satisfaction and building long-term relationships
