About the Role

As a CDL A Regional Truck Driver with Updike Distribution Logistics, you'll operate a modern fleet across a multi-state region spanning Arizona, Southern California, Northern California, Nevada, and Utah. This is a full-time position offering predictable regional hauls—no cross-country runs, no excessive time away from home. You'll handle freight management, vehicle operation, and time-sensitive deliveries while maintaining the highest standards of safety and professionalism.

What You'll Do

• Operate commercial trucks safely and legally across the Southwest region
• Manage freight loading, securing, and delivery operations
• Maintain detailed logs and documentation in compliance with DOT regulations
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues
• Meet delivery deadlines while adhering to hours-of-service rules
• Communicate proactively with dispatch regarding route status and customer needs

What We're Looking For

• Valid CDL Class A license with clean driving record
• Minimum 1–2 years of commercial truck driving experience
• Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety requirements
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot vehicle issues
• Professional attitude and excellent customer service orientation
• Reliable, punctual, and committed to on-time performance
• Ability to work independently and follow routing instructions

Compensation

Starting at 54 cents per mile, with performance-based mileage bonuses up to 59.5 cents per mile. Layover pay of $75 per 24-hour period when away from your home terminal. This is a competitive compensation structure reflecting the regional nature of the work and our commitment to fair driver pay.
