Service Oiler – Haines, AK

Colas is seeking a Service Oiler to join its team in Haines, Alaska.

About the Role

This full‑time position supports the maintenance fleet of Southeast Road Builders, a Colas subsidiary that has served the Haines community since 1977. You will help keep heavy equipment running safely and efficiently on civil construction projects throughout the region.

What You'll Do

• Perform routine lubrication and preventive maintenance on excavators, loaders, dozers, and other construction machinery.
• Inspect equipment for wear, leaks, or safety concerns and report findings to the shop supervisor.
• Maintain accurate service records, including parts used and labor hours, in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with minor repairs, filter changes, and fluid top‑ups under the guidance of senior mechanics.
• Keep the service area clean, organized, and stocked with necessary supplies and tools.

What We're Looking For

• Experience as a service oiler, lubrication technician, or similar role in heavy equipment or construction environments.
• Basic knowledge of hydraulic systems, grease points, and common fluid types used in off‑highway machinery.
• Ability to follow safety protocols, wear required PPE, and work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Good communication skills and a team‑oriented mindset.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Haines worksite.
