ManpowerGroup is seeking an Environmental, Health, and Safety Specialist for a full‑time position in Westlake, Calcasieu Parish, supporting a leading manufacturing client.
About the Role
As part of the Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) team, you will partner with plant operations and maintenance to promote a safe workplace and ensure environmental stewardship. The role involves day‑to‑day safety program administration, incident investigation, and compliance monitoring for a manufacturing facility.
What You'll Do
- Conduct workplace hazard assessments and develop corrective action plans
- Facilitate safety training sessions and toolbox talks for operators and maintenance staff
- Investigate accidents, near‑misses, and environmental releases; prepare reports and recommend preventive measures
- Maintain OSHA, EPA, and state regulatory documentation and ensure timely reporting
- Perform routine safety audits and inspections of equipment, processes, and work areas
- Support emergency response planning and participate in drills
- Track key EHS metrics, analyze trends, and present findings to management
- Collaborate with engineering and maintenance to integrate safety into project design and equipment upgrades
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field
- Minimum of three years of EHS experience within a manufacturing or industrial setting
- Solid understanding of OSHA standards, EPA regulations, and best practices for workplace safety
- Strong analytical skills to interpret data, identify risks, and develop effective solutions
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities for training, reporting, and cross‑functional collaboration
- Proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and injury prevention
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
