About the Role

This full‑time position reports to the plant quality manager and is responsible for directing the second‑shift QA team. You will ensure that all products meet internal specifications, customer requirements, and regulatory expectations while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

What You'll Do

• Supervise and mentor QA technicians, assigning tasks and monitoring performance throughout the shift
• Oversee the execution of quality control checks, including in‑process inspections, product testing, and release activities
• Ensure adherence to SOPs, GMP, HACCP, and FSMA guidelines, taking corrective action when deviations occur
• Conduct regular audits of production lines, documentation, and sanitation practices to identify improvement opportunities
• Investigate customer complaints and internal non‑conformances, leading root‑cause analysis and implementing effective solutions
• Maintain accurate records of test results, batch releases, and quality metrics for traceability and reporting
• Collaborate with production, maintenance, and supply chain teams to resolve quality‑related issues promptly
• Facilitate training sessions on quality procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory updates for shift personnel
• Participate in continuous‑improvement initiatives, such as CAPA programs and quality system audits

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience in a food manufacturing or related quality assurance environment
• Solid understanding of GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and FDA/USDA requirements applicable to processed foods
• Prior supervisory or lead experience, with the ability to motivate and develop a team
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting data, identifying trends, and driving corrective actions
• Excellent communication abilities, both written and verbal, for clear shift handovers and reporting
• Capability to work effectively during the second shift, including weekends and holidays as needed
• Commitment to maintaining a safe workplace and fostering a culture of quality excellence
