Principal Consultant – Medicare and Medicaid

Oracle's State Consulting Organization is seeking a Principal Consultant to lead enterprise initiatives in Medicare and Medicaid policy, data strategy, and federal compliance. This full-time role is based in Jackson, Hinds County, and offers the opportunity to drive transformational consulting engagements with state health programs at the highest advisory level.

About the Role

As a Principal Consultant, you'll serve as a trusted strategic advisor on complex Medicare and Medicaid programs. You'll own the design and delivery of consulting solutions that address federal reporting requirements, program optimization, and data-driven policy outcomes. This is a leadership position combining deep healthcare domain expertise with analytical rigor and executive presence.

What You'll Do

• Lead consulting engagements with state agencies, managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder alignment on Medicare and Medicaid initiatives
• Develop comprehensive data strategies that clarify member, provider, and claims relationships—translating complex healthcare data into actionable business intelligence
• Design analytic frameworks and reporting solutions that meet federal compliance mandates while uncovering operational insights
• Partner with data scientists and analytics teams to build predictive models, engagement strategies, and performance optimization initiatives
• Advise executive leadership on program performance, cost drivers, and policy implications
• Create thoughtful, novel approaches to challenging healthcare data and program design problems

What We're Looking For

• Deep expertise in Medicare and Medicaid program structure, federal reporting, and state administration
• Proven track record leading high-impact consulting projects in healthcare or government
• Strong analytical and data fluency—ability to interpret healthcare data systems and design robust reporting solutions
• Excellent communication skills; ability to translate technical insights for non-technical audiences
• Experience collaborating across technical teams, including data scientists and software engineers
• Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, data science, public policy, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
