You'll be the skilled, compassionate clinician who greets cardiovascular patients arriving for procedures and hospital admission. Your role bridges the transition from the community into our cardiac care environment—managing intake with precision while calming patient concerns and ensuring every detail is documented accurately. Early mornings bring high admission volume, requiring you to balance efficiency with the personal attention each patient deserves.

What You'll Do

• Conduct detailed pre-admission assessments and intake interviews for cardiovascular patients
• Verify insurance coverage, confirm registration details, and resolve discrepancies
• Obtain complete medical histories, medication lists, and allergy information
• Perform vital sign monitoring and communicate baseline findings to care teams
• Educate patients about their upcoming procedures, expectations, and hospital protocols
• Document all assessments in the electronic health record system accurately and completely
• Collaborate with cardiologists, surgeons, and nursing staff on patient readiness
• Answer patient questions with clinical knowledge and provide reassurance during a vulnerable time

What We're Looking For

• Current, unrestricted RN license
• Clinical nursing experience in cardiac, telemetry, critical care, or acute hospital settings
• Comfort with early morning shift schedules
• Proficiency with electronic health records and hospital admission systems
• Ability to prioritize multiple admissions without sacrificing attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams
