Respiratory Therapist PRN

TriStar Centennial Medical Center in Nashville, Davidson County is seeking a Respiratory Therapist PRN for a Full‑time position.

What You'll Do

• Assess patients’ respiratory status and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer oxygen therapy, aerosolized medications, and mechanical ventilation as prescribed.
• Monitor patient responses to therapy and adjust interventions based on clinical findings.
• Perform diagnostic tests such as spirometry, arterial blood gas analysis, and pulmonary function testing.
• Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation.
• Document all assessments, treatments, and patient education in the electronic health record.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Participate in emergency response situations, including code blue and rapid response teams.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and safety standards at all times.

What We're Looking For

• Current Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential; RRT preferred.
• Valid state licensure to practice respiratory therapy in Tennessee.
• Experience in acute care settings, preferably with exposure to ICU, ER, or step‑down units.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems and respiratory therapy equipment.
• Commitment to ongoing professional development and adherence to clinical best practices.
• Ability to work varied shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed for PRN coverage.
