Asbestos PLM Analyst (2nd Shift) Eurofins Built Environment Testing – Tustin, CA

Eurofins USA Environment Testing is hiring a full-time Asbestos PLM Analyst (2nd Shift) for our Tustin, California laboratory. In this role, you will perform microscopic analysis of environmental samples using polarized light microscopy to identify asbestos and support environmental compliance and public safety projects.

About the Role

As an Asbestos PLM Analyst in our Tustin lab, you will execute precise analytical work on bulk environmental samples to detect and classify asbestos fibers. This is an essential 2nd shift position supporting construction, renovation, and environmental assessment professionals throughout Orange County and Southern California who depend on accurate asbestos identification for regulatory compliance and safety.

What You'll Do

• Prepare bulk environmental samples for analysis following established standard operating procedures and company Quality Assurance protocols
• Analyze samples using polarized light microscopy (PLM) to identify, quantify, and classify asbestos content
• Document analytical findings accurately and generate detailed laboratory reports
• Maintain strict compliance with EPA regulations, state environmental standards, and company safety policies
• Ensure proper handling and disposal of samples containing suspected asbestos
• Calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure reliable analytical performance

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience analyzing asbestos samples or environmental materials using PLM techniques
• Strong knowledge of asbestos identification, classification, and regulatory requirements
• Familiarity with laboratory standard operating procedures and quality assurance standards
• Meticulous attention to detail and commitment to accurate documentation
• Ability to work independently during 2nd shift and maintain consistent, reliable performance
• High school diploma or equivalent; relevant laboratory training or certification is valued
