Sr. Manager, T-Line South – Location Flexible

PG&E Corporation Careers is hiring a Senior Manager for Transmission Line South operations, based in Ridgecrest, Kern County. This full-time leadership position oversees engineering, maintenance, and operations of critical transmission infrastructure across California's central and southern service territory.

About the Role

As Sr. Manager, T-Line South, you'll lead a team responsible for the safe, reliable operation and maintenance of transmission line systems. This senior management position combines hands-on technical oversight with strategic program leadership, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and utility reliability requirements across multiple operational areas.

What You'll Do

• Direct day-to-day operations, maintenance, and construction activities for transmission line assets
• Manage budget, staffing, and resource allocation for transmission operations teams
• Lead capital and maintenance programs supporting grid reliability and system upgrade projects
• Ensure compliance with NERC, FERC, and California Public Utilities Commission requirements
• Coordinate with engineering, safety, and field teams to optimize system performance and worker safety
• Mentor and develop engineering and operations staff
• Oversee preventive maintenance programs and asset lifecycle management

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, mechanical engineering, or related technical field
• 8+ years of utility experience, with at least 3 years in transmission operations or maintenance management
• Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional engineering and operations teams
• Strong knowledge of transmission line systems, equipment, and maintenance practices
• Familiarity with utility regulatory frameworks and compliance standards
• Project management and budget accountability experience
• Willingness to travel within the service territory as needed
