Leasing Consultant

Southwood Realty is hiring a full-time Leasing Consultant in Asheville, Buncombe County, to be the welcoming first point of contact for residents and future renters at our community.

About the Role

As a Leasing Consultant with Southwood Realty in Asheville, you will guide prospective residents through every step of finding their next home. This on-site, full-time position blends sales, customer service, and attention to detail, making you a key ambassador for the community and a trusted resource for current residents.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet and assist current residents and prospective renters while delivering consistently outstanding customer service.
• Respond to and follow up with every prospect promptly to keep their leasing journey moving forward.
• Guide applicants through completing their application and collecting deposits in line with company policy and Fair Housing standards.
• Tour and lease available apartments and mini-models, highlighting the features that fit each prospect's needs.
• Walk and inspect vacant apartments to confirm they are ready for move-in.
• Draft, review, and prepare lease paperwork accurately and on schedule.

Qualifications

• A genuine passion for customer service and building rapport with people.
• Strong communication and follow-through, with the organization to manage multiple prospects at once.
• Comfort working with applications, deposits, and lease documents with precision and integrity.
• Familiarity with Fair Housing principles, or a willingness to learn and apply them.
• Availability for a full-time, on-site schedule at the Asheville community.
