About the Role

What You'll Do
- Design and execute field surveys for special-status species, native plant communities, and sensitive habitats
- Walk transects and map habitat boundaries through systematic observation and documentation
- Identify wildlife species by sight, sound, and behavioral observation
- Perform trapping, live-capture, and specimen collection surveys as project scope requires
- Conduct preconstruction clearance surveys and deliver environmental awareness protocols to construction teams
- Monitor construction sites to verify compliance with environmental regulations
- Record field observations accurately and prepare technical survey reports
What We're Looking For
- Bachelor's degree in biology, wildlife biology, ecology, environmental science, or related field
- Demonstrated experience conducting field surveys and identifying California wildlife species
- Ability to traverse varied terrain and work independently in outdoor environments
- Knowledge of California's special-status species and habitat assessment practices
- Strong data documentation and report writing capabilities
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Flexibility to adjust work schedule based on project requirements
