About the Role

The Rollins School of Public Health at Emory University seeks a detail-oriented Data Analyst to strengthen our research and operational capabilities. As a Data Analyst supporting Rollins School of Public Health and Emory Healthcare, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring data integrity, accessibility, and usability across the school's initiatives and programs. This full-time position is based in Atlanta, Fulton County, and offers an opportunity to contribute to world-class public health education and research.

What You'll Do

  • Design, develop, and maintain comprehensive data dictionaries and metadata documentation that enable researchers and analysts to understand and properly utilize datasets
  • Establish and enforce data governance standards and best practices to ensure consistency and quality across Rollins School of Public Health systems
  • Collaborate with faculty, researchers, and administrative teams to identify data needs and translate requirements into analytical solutions
  • Support data extraction, validation, and preparation for research projects and institutional reporting
  • Develop dashboards and reports that communicate key findings and institutional metrics to stakeholders
  • Troubleshoot data issues and maintain clear documentation of data workflows and transformations

What We're Looking For

  • Proficiency with databases and SQL; experience with data management platforms
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Experience with data visualization and statistical analysis tools such as R, Python, Tableau, or similar platforms
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
