This is a full-time position offering competitive weekly compensation of $1,158 to $1,338, with an anticipated start date of June 8, 2026.

About the Role

As a Travel Physical Therapy Assistant, you'll provide essential rehabilitation support in a fast-paced skilled nursing environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to expand your clinical experience while making a measurable difference in patient recovery and mobility outcomes. You'll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists to deliver evidence-based treatment and help patients regain independence.

What You'll Do

• Assist physical therapists in implementing treatment plans for patients across the facility
• Implement therapeutic exercises and mobility activities tailored to individual patient goals
• Support patients with transfers, positioning, and safe movement techniques
• Document patient progress and treatment responses accurately in medical records
• Educate patients and families on prescribed exercises and home safety strategies
• Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions
• Monitor patient tolerance and report concerns to supervising physical therapists

What We're Looking For

• Valid Physical Therapy Assistant license in Illinois
• Current CPR/BLS certification (or ability to obtain upon hire)
• Clinical experience in skilled nursing or rehabilitation settings
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to lift, transfer, and support patients safely
• Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic clinical environment
