Contracts Specialist – Payor and Corporate Contracting

Join Montage Health as a Contracts Specialist supporting our Payor and Corporate Contracting department in Monterey, Monterey County. You'll work directly with our Director of Payor & Corporate Contracting and Senior Contracts Manager to drive the organization's contracting initiatives and manage critical payor relationships that sustain our healthcare operations.

About the Role

As a full-time Contracts Specialist, you will serve as a key member of our enterprise contracting team, handling day-to-day contracting responsibilities that span payor negotiations, corporate partnerships, and internal stakeholder alignment. This role combines document management expertise with relationship-building across the health system, ensuring all contracts meet compliance standards and support Montage Health's strategic objectives.

What You'll Do

• Prepare, review, and finalize contracts with payors, vendors, and corporate partners
• Coordinate with the Senior Contracts Manager and Director on contract strategy and execution
• Manage contract timelines, follow-ups, and documentation to meet organizational deadlines
• Support payor relations by responding to contract inquiries and amendments
• Maintain contract files and databases with accuracy and compliance in mind
• Collaborate across departments to gather contract requirements and resolve contract-related questions
• Assist with regulatory and compliance reviews relevant to healthcare contracting

What We're Looking For

• Experience in contract management, payor relations, or corporate contracting—ideally in healthcare or health systems
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Detail-oriented approach to document preparation and file management
• Ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities simultaneously
• Familiarity with healthcare compliance and payor contracting practices (preferred)
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and contract management tools
• A collaborative mindset and ability to work effectively within a team structure
