Role Overview
We're looking for an experienced Senior Construction Superintendent to join Orbital Career's Electric Construction Services division in Pittsburgh. In this leadership role, you'll take charge of electrical distribution line projects, directing work activities to meet schedules, budgets, and quality standards. You'll be responsible for overall project success, from initial planning through final delivery on some of the region's most important electrical infrastructure work.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
- Plan, direct, and supervise all construction activities on assigned electrical distribution projects
- Coordinate schedules, manage crews, and allocate resources to maintain project timelines
- Enforce safety protocols and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and report on cost performance
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality reviews to maintain construction standards
- Communicate with project stakeholders, clients, and subcontractors
- Identify and resolve construction challenges and bottlenecks in real time
Qualifications
- 5+ years of construction management or superintendence experience, preferably in electrical or utility construction
- Proven track record leading crews and managing complex construction projects
- Strong knowledge of electrical distribution line construction practices and standards
- Familiarity with OSHA safety regulations and construction safety protocols
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and interpret construction plans and specifications
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel as project demands
