As a Patient Service Advocate II at AltaMed, you'll be the first welcoming voice patients hear and a trusted resource throughout their care journey. You'll manage patient interactions with professionalism and empathy, handling administrative tasks that directly support quality care delivery. What You'll Do

• Register patients at intake, collect necessary health information, and verify insurance eligibility
• Schedule appointments efficiently and manage clinic flow to support seamless operations
• Address patient questions and resolve concerns with patience and problem-solving skills
• Educate patients about AltaMed services, health programs, and community resources available to them
• Maintain accurate, confidential patient records in compliance with privacy standards
• Coordinate follow-up care and referrals to ensure continuity across our care network
• Communicate effectively across phone, in-person, and written channels with patients and staff

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or GED; prior healthcare, clinical support, or customer service experience preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills; bilingual Spanish/English capability valued
• Comfort navigating computer systems and medical software with a willingness to master new platforms
• Ability to remain organized and focused in a fast-paced healthcare environment
• Meticulous attention to detail with patient data and scheduling accuracy
• Genuine commitment to patient-centered care and serving diverse communities with respect
