Abode Communities, a regional non-profit real estate development and property management organization based in Boyle Heights, Los Angeles County, is hiring a full-time Community Manager to build and strengthen resident relationships across our multifamily residential portfolio.

About the Role

As Community Manager for Abode Communities, you'll be the primary point of contact for residents living in our properties throughout California. In this role, you'll develop and implement community programming, manage resident communications, address concerns promptly, and foster a welcoming living environment that supports resident stability and wellbeing.

What You'll Do

  • Serve as the key liaison between residents and property management, addressing inquiries, maintenance requests, and lease-related questions
  • Plan and coordinate community events, programs, and activities that build resident connection and engagement
  • Track resident satisfaction, gather feedback, and collaborate to improve community services and amenities
  • Support lease compliance, coordinate move-in and move-out processes, and ensure smooth resident transitions
  • Maintain accurate community records, manage communication channels, and prepare regular reports on resident metrics and community performance
  • Work collaboratively with property management and development teams to ensure consistent service delivery across all communities

What We're Looking For

  • Experience in community management, resident services, property management, or a related customer-facing role
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trust and resolve conflicts thoughtfully
  • Demonstrated commitment to serving low-income communities and understanding of affordable housing challenges
  • Solid organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Proficiency with property management software and Microsoft Office; Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred
