Construction Manager 2

Century Communities is hiring a Construction Manager 2 in Phoenix, Maricopa County, to oversee the complete construction lifecycle of new residential communities. In this full-time role, you'll lead site operations, manage schedules and budgets, ensure regulatory compliance, and deliver quality homes that exceed customer expectations.

About the Role

The Construction Manager 2 serves as the operational leader for new home communities in the Phoenix market. You'll direct all construction activities from project initiation through final closeout, ensuring timely delivery, cost control, and adherence to building codes and safety standards across one or more active communities.

What You'll Do

• Oversee daily construction operations, coordinating work sequences and managing the performance of trade contractors and vendors
• Create and maintain detailed project schedules, tracking milestones and adjusting timelines to meet delivery deadlines
• Develop cost estimates, track construction expenses, and manage budgets to maintain project profitability
• Conduct regular site inspections to verify quality standards, workmanship, and compliance with architectural specifications
• Ensure all construction activities comply with applicable building codes, safety regulations, and company standards
• Manage construction documentation using BuildPro and other project management tools to monitor progress and communicate status
• Identify and resolve construction issues, safety concerns, and schedule conflicts with accountability and decisiveness
• Partner with internal teams, developers, and external stakeholders to maintain project momentum and customer satisfaction

What We're Looking For

• Demonstrated experience as a Construction Manager or in a comparable supervisory construction leadership position
• Strong working knowledge of residential construction practices, techniques, and Arizona building code requirements
• Proficiency with construction management software, project documentation systems, and digital job site tools
• Ability to manage multiple construction projects simultaneously with strong organizational and prioritization skills
• Leadership and communication skills to effectively supervise teams, negotiate with contractors, and manage stakeholder relationships
• Commitment to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance with a detail-oriented approach
• Valid driver's license and availability to work on-site in the Phoenix area
