Technical Support Scientist, Olink proteomics (Remote – Midwest, South, and Northeast US)

ThermoFisher Scientific is hiring a Technical Support Scientist, Olink proteomics to join our team in Detroit, Wayne County, supporting researchers across the Midwest, South, and Northeast US. This full-time, lab- and office-based role puts proteomics expertise to work helping customers get the most from their Olink workflows.

About the Role

As a Technical Support Scientist focused on Olink proteomics at ThermoFisher Scientific, you will serve as a trusted scientific resource for customers running protein biomarker studies. Working a standard Monday–Friday schedule across laboratory and office settings, you will translate deep technical knowledge into practical guidance that keeps experiments moving and results reliable.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide scientific and technical support to customers using Olink proteomics products and platforms.
• Troubleshoot assay, workflow, and instrumentation questions, guiding users toward dependable outcomes.
• Partner with research teams to ensure successful adoption and ongoing use of Olink technology.
• Document customer interactions and share recurring insights to strengthen support resources.
• Collaborate with internal colleagues to escalate and resolve complex technical issues.

Qualifications

• A scientific background, ideally with hands-on experience in proteomics, molecular biology, or related life-science techniques.
• Familiarity with Olink assays or comparable protein analysis platforms is a strong advantage.
• Clear communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to varied audiences.
• A customer-focused, problem-solving mindset suited to a support-driven role.
• Comfort working in both laboratory and office environments on a standard weekday schedule.
