As a Residential Counselor at our Safety Net Shelter, you will be part of the frontline team that creates a stable, welcoming, and trauma-informed environment for the children, youth, and young adults Bill Wilson Center serves in Santa Clara County. This on-site Santa Clara position is ideal for someone who thrives in a direct-service setting and is passionate about helping clients move toward safety, stability, and long-term well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support residents throughout daily shelter activities, fostering a safe and respectful living space.
• Connect clients with housing, mental health, and supportive services aligned with Bill Wilson Center's programs.
• Respond calmly and effectively to client needs, including crisis and de-escalation situations.
• Maintain accurate case notes, shelter logs, and required documentation.
• Work collaboratively with case managers, outreach staff, and community partners to advocate for each resident.
• Uphold program guidelines, safety protocols, and a culture of dignity and inclusion.
