About the Role

As an Engineer with Oak View Group in Providence, you will help maintain the building systems, equipment, and infrastructure that support concerts, conventions, sporting events, and large gatherings at the Rhode Island Convention Center and Amica Mutual Pavilion. This is a part-time, on-site position ideal for a skilled technician who thrives in a fast-paced venue environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, inspect, and maintain mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems throughout the facilities.
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and respond promptly to repair requests and equipment issues.
• Support event setup, changeovers, and breakdowns to ensure spaces are safe and event-ready.
• Monitor building systems for efficient, reliable, and code-compliant performance.
• Document work completed and communicate status to supervisors and event staff.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in facility, building, or stationary engineering, ideally within a venue, arena, or commercial property.
• Working knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general mechanical systems.
• Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and resolve issues independently.
• Flexibility to work a variable part-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the event calendar.
• Commitment to safety standards and a team-first approach to guest experience.
