About the Role
As Executive Director, Global Marketing – HIV & Emerging Viruses, you will own the strategic direction and execution of marketing initiatives across our HIV and emerging viral disease portfolio. This is a senior leadership position based on-site in Foster City, California, where you will translate scientific innovation into commercial impact and expand access to life-changing treatments around the globe.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and drive the global marketing strategy for the HIV and emerging viruses franchise.
- Partner with cross-functional teams spanning medical affairs, market access, regulatory, and regional commercial organizations.
- Build differentiated brand positioning and lifecycle plans that connect therapeutic value to patient and clinician needs.
- Guide and develop high-performing marketing teams, fostering collaboration and accountability.
- Translate market insights and competitive intelligence into actionable commercial plans.
- Champion broad, equitable access to Gilead therapies across diverse global markets.
Qualifications
- Extensive experience in pharmaceutical or biotech marketing, ideally within infectious disease, virology, or related specialty areas.
- Demonstrated success leading global or regional brand strategy at a senior level.
- Proven ability to manage and inspire cross-functional and direct teams.
- Strong strategic, analytical, and communication skills.
- Willingness to work on-site in Foster City, San Mateo County (this role is not remote).
