About the Role
This full-time, on-site position supports students in kindergarten through grade 12 who have speech and language needs. As a Long Term Per Diem Substitute with Central Bucks School District, you will step into an elementary teaching assignment and provide continuity of care for learners during the coverage period. The assignment is expected to run approximately from August 31, 2026 through December 2, 2026, with exact dates subject to change.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver speech and language services to K-12 students consistent with district programming and individualized goals.
- Plan, organize, and lead therapy sessions that strengthen communication, articulation, and language skills.
- Track student progress, maintain accurate records, and document outcomes throughout the long-term assignment.
- Partner with classroom teachers, families, and support staff to align services with each learner's needs.
- Foster an inclusive, encouraging environment at Bridge Valley Elementary School that supports student growth.
Qualifications
- Background in speech-language pathology or speech and language impaired instruction for K-12 students.
- Appropriate Pennsylvania certification or eligibility as required for an Elementary School Teaching / Speech & Language Impaired K-12 role.
- Ability to commit to a long-term substitute assignment on a per diem basis.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills suited to a school setting.
- Commitment to supporting diverse learners across elementary and secondary grade levels.
