As a Travel Sterile Processing Tech with Aya Healthcare, you'll play a critical part in patient safety by ensuring that surgical instruments and medical equipment are properly decontaminated, sterilized, and ready for use.
Key Responsibilities
- Clean, decontaminate, and inspect surgical instruments and reusable medical devices
- Operate sterilization equipment following established protocols and safety standards
- Assemble, wrap, and prepare instrument trays for upcoming procedures
- Maintain accurate records of sterilization cycles and instrument processing
- Coordinate with operating room and clinical staff to keep supplies stocked and available
- Uphold infection-control practices throughout the sterile processing department
