Head of Advertising, Labeling, and Promotion

Biogen is seeking an experienced regulatory leader to serve as Head of Advertising, Labeling, and Promotion in Cambridge, Middlesex County — a strategic role at the intersection of science, compliance, and commercial communication.

About the Role

As the Head of Advertising, Labeling, and Promotion (ALP) at Biogen, you will direct the regulatory strategy that governs how product labeling, promotional materials, and advertising are developed and reviewed. Working across both marketed therapies and emerging pipeline assets, you will help ensure that every claim is scientifically sound and fully aligned with FDA regulations. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Cambridge, Middlesex County.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and lead the regulatory approach to product labeling, promotional review, and advertising across a broad portfolio of products and investigational assets.
• Verify that labeling and promotional content is accurate, evidence-based, and consistent with FDA requirements and applicable guidance.
• Partner with commercial, medical, legal, and regulatory affairs teams to guide the promotional review process from concept through approval.
• Provide expert interpretation of advertising and promotion regulations to support compliant product messaging.
• Build and mentor a team responsible for labeling and promotional review activities.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of FDA regulations governing prescription drug advertising, labeling, and promotion.
• Proven experience leading regulatory or promotional review functions within the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Strong scientific judgment paired with the ability to balance compliance and commercial objectives.
• Excellent cross-functional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex review workflows across multiple products and pipeline programs.
