About the Role
This Senior Site EHS Manager opening with Amazon is reserved exclusively for participants in the Hire our Heroes Corporate Fellowship (Cohort 3). It is designed for transitioning service members whose separation or retirement falls between August 31, 2026 and February 27, 2027. As a senior leader in Environment, Health, and Safety, you will champion a culture of well-being across a fast-paced operations site, translating military leadership experience into measurable safety outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct the day-to-day Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) program for an Amazon operations site.
- Build and reinforce a proactive safety culture among associates, supervisors, and site leadership.
- Drive compliance with federal, state, and local safety and environmental regulations.
- Identify workplace hazards, lead risk assessments, and deliver corrective actions.
- Coach and mentor on-site teams to embed safe practices into everyday work.
- Analyze incident data and partner with operations to prevent recurrence.
Qualifications
- Active participation in the Hire our Heroes Corporate Fellowship Program, Cohort 3.
- A transitioning service member with a separation or retirement date between August 31, 2026 and February 27, 2027.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, ideally guiding teams in demanding, safety-critical environments.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to influence at every level of an organization.
- Willingness to work on-site full-time in Goodyear, Maricopa County (this role is not remote).
