About the Role
As an Engine Mechanic with Aerotek, you will work on-site servicing CFM56 engines used in commercial aircraft. The role centers on precision maintenance, thorough inspection, and complete overhaul work, ensuring each engine meets the rigorous safety and performance standards the aviation industry demands. Day-to-day work may take place within an MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) facility setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain, inspect, and overhaul CFM56 engines for commercial aircraft
- Carry out routine tests and operational checks to confirm every component performs at full capacity
- Verify that each engine is safe and ready for operation before sign-off
- Disassemble engines and related components to diagnose and resolve issues
- Troubleshoot mechanical faults and reassemble engines to specification
- Support workflow within the MRO facility as assigned
Qualifications
- Practical experience servicing, inspecting, or overhauling aircraft engines, ideally CFM56 or similar commercial powerplants
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills, including disassembly and reassembly of complex components
- Commitment to safety, accuracy, and compliance with aviation maintenance standards
- Willingness to work on-site in Miami, FL on a full-time basis
