About the Role

As an HVAC Service Technician you will diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of residential heating, ventilation, and air‑conditioning systems. The position emphasizes safety, quality workmanship, and clear communication with clients to ensure their systems operate efficiently and reliably.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair on furnaces, heat pumps, air conditioners, and ductwork.
• Conduct system performance tests, measure airflow, and verify refrigerant levels using industry‑standard tools.
• Explain findings and recommended actions to homeowners in plain language, providing written estimates when needed.
• Complete accurate service documentation, including work orders, parts used, and time spent, in the company’s digital system.
• Stay current with manufacturer updates, local code requirements, and emerging HVAC technologies through ongoing training.
• Assist with emergency calls outside regular hours as part of a rotating on‑call schedule.
• Maintain a clean, organized service vehicle and ensure all tools are calibrated and ready for use.

What We're Looking For

• Valid EPA 608 certification (Type I, II, III, or Universal) and a current Massachusetts HVAC technician license.
• Proven experience diagnosing and repairing residential HVAC equipment, preferably with a focus on split‑system and packaged units.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and the ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals.
• Excellent customer service skills, with a friendly, professional demeanor when interacting with homeowners.
• Capability to lift up to 50 pounds, work in varied weather conditions, and navigate tight spaces such as attics and crawlspaces.
• Reliable transportation, a clean driving record, and willingness to travel within the Billerica and surrounding Middlesex County area.
• Competitive hourly rate ranging from $35 to $55, with monthly performance bonuses up to $5,000 and a sign‑on bonus available.
