Wellness & Program Coordinator- Mental Health (Virtual)

Join Adolescent Wellness Academy as a Wellness & Program Coordinator supporting our virtual adolescent mental health initiatives. This part-time position offers an immediate opportunity to make a direct impact working with teens ages 13–17 in a dynamic virtual clinical environment across the United States.

Role Overview

You'll serve as a vital bridge between adolescent participants and our clinical team in AWA's virtual programming. This role combines therapeutic support with operational coordination, requiring both clinical sensitivity and the ability to remain calm and solution-focused in real-time situations. You'll monitor program dynamics, support de-escalation efforts, and ensure each participant experiences a safe, structured environment.

What You'll Do

• Monitor adolescent participants via chat and video during virtual group sessions, transitions, and unstructured program time
• Manage virtual breakout rooms independently to de-escalate and redirect when clinical staff is unavailable
• Conduct Green Space wellness assessments and coordinate bi-weekly parent communications
• Execute operational tasks including intake processing, enrollment documentation, attendance tracking, and census maintenance
• Coordinate psychoeducational and IEP scheduling for new program admissions
• Produce and disseminate the weekly program newsletter to participants and families
• Deliver real-time technical support during sessions, ensuring smooth Zoom navigation and platform functionality
• Communicate with families via phone and email regarding progress, program logistics, and scheduling
• Maintain thorough, same-day documentation including wellness assessments and incident reports
• Alert the clinical team immediately to any safety concerns, disclosures, or behavioral indicators requiring escalation

Requirements

• Demonstrated experience working with adolescents in a clinical, educational, or community mental health setting
• Ability to manage virtual group dynamics and de-escalate independently without in-room clinical support
• Proficiency with Zoom and virtual meeting platforms, including breakout room functionality
• Strong documentation skills and experience with incident reporting in a clinical or educational context
• Emotional regulation and professional composure under pressure in high-stakes situations
• Clear understanding that this is a non-clinical coordinating role; you escalate concerns to clinical staff rather than making independent clinical decisions
