About the Role
This entry-level opportunity is designed to develop your skills in counseling and community health work under the mentorship of an experienced Village-Based Counselor Supervisor. You'll gain practical training in evidence-based practices while supporting the diverse behavioral health needs of the community. Upon successful completion of the training program, you'll be eligible for a $3,100 completion bonus.
What You'll Do
- Participate in supervised counseling sessions with individuals addressing substance abuse and mental health concerns
- Conduct wellness and prevention education for community groups and organizations
- Support community development initiatives focused on behavioral health and social wellbeing
- Work alongside the VBC Supervisor to implement evidence-based interventions
- Document and track client progress and training milestones
- Attend required training modules and educational workshops to build your professional foundation
