Accenture is seeking a Utilities Transmission & Distribution Control Room & Real-Time Systems Consultant or Manager to join our team in Bentonville, Benton County. This is a full-time position supporting leading electric, gas, and water utilities in optimizing their grid operations and building more resilient, sustainable infrastructure.
About the Role
As a Control Room & Real-Time Systems Consultant or Manager, you'll partner with major utility companies to transform how they manage transmission and distribution operations. You'll combine deep technical expertise with strategic advisory services to help clients achieve greater operational efficiency, reliability, environmental performance, and workplace safety.
What You'll Do
- Advise utilities on control room operations, real-time systems architecture, and SCADA/EMS technologies
- Lead assessments of transmission and distribution infrastructure and identify modernization opportunities
- Develop solutions that improve grid reliability, reduce downtime, and enhance operator safety
- Collaborate with clients to implement systems that integrate renewable energy and smart grid capabilities
- Oversee projects that strengthen utility resilience and support regulatory compliance
- Mentor team members and guide consulting engagements from discovery through deployment
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience in utility transmission and distribution operations or control room systems
- Strong knowledge of SCADA, EMS, real-time data systems, and grid modernization
- Background in utility industry consulting, engineering, or operations management
- Excellent communication skills and ability to translate technical concepts for C-suite stakeholders
- Capability to manage complex projects and cross-functional teams
- Passion for improving utility efficiency, safety, and environmental sustainability
