Role Overview

The Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - Per Diem role at Gohealthuc in 3 Locations places you at the forefront of ambulatory acute care delivery. As a Full Time advanced practice clinician you will independently evaluate walk-in patients, formulate diagnoses, and initiate treatments while drawing on collaborative resources when complexity rises. The position balances clinical autonomy with team-based support, allowing providers to focus on safe, efficient patient encounters across a range of presentations common to urgent care.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

• Perform focused histories and physical assessments for individuals of all ages presenting with urgent medical concerns
• Order, interpret, and act on laboratory, imaging, and other diagnostic studies
• Diagnose common illnesses and minor injuries and implement evidence-based treatment plans
• Prescribe medications, therapies, and durable medical equipment in accordance with scope of practice
• Educate patients and caregivers on diagnoses, self-care measures, and follow-up expectations
• Document encounters thoroughly and accurately within the electronic health record
• Identify cases requiring higher-level care and arrange appropriate referrals or transfers
• Collaborate with on-site and remote colleagues to maintain consistent standards of care

What We're Looking For

• Active licensure and national certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant
• Demonstrated clinical competence with urgent, emergent, or primary-care patient populations preferred
• Ability to manage a diverse caseload efficiently while exercising sound clinical judgment
• Strong interpersonal skills that foster trust with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teammates
• Willingness to practice in a fast-paced setting and adapt to evolving patient volumes in 3 Locations
