About the Role

As a Unit Secretary/Registration Clerk, you'll serve as the administrative backbone of our surgical unit, managing patient flow, documentation, and communication between patients and the care team. What You'll Do

• Register patients at arrival, collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures while managing scheduling conflicts
• Answer phones and direct calls to appropriate departments and staff members
• Maintain and organize patient records and medical documentation with precision
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to support smooth unit operations
• Input and retrieve data using hospital computer systems and software
• Assist with patient check-in processes and initial intake documentation
• Support quality patient care by maintaining professionalism and attention to detail

What We're Looking For

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
• Minimum two years of clerical or administrative experience in a healthcare setting
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency with computer systems and office software
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
• Knowledge of medical terminology (preferred)
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
