About This Opportunity
We are representing a leading communications agency in the German market, operating at the intersection of digital strategy, creative development, and technical implementation. Our client's digital experience unit builds complex platforms, data portals, and websites for organizations across business, politics, and media sectors. We're seeking experienced TYPO3 Developers to join their technical team in Dresden.
This is a senior or mid-level position working within interdisciplinary project teams, translating complex client requirements into robust technical solutions using TYPO3. You'll be involved from pitch through delivery, ensuring strategic, user-centered, and accessible implementations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement large-scale platforms, websites, and digital service solutions using TYPO3
- Translate complex client requirements into technical feasibility assessments
- Provide technical consultation to project managers on alternative approaches
- Build custom TYPO3 extensions using Composer structure
- Configure and integrate external APIs and services (REST, JSON, XML, Apache Solr)
- Participate in technical planning from pitch phase through deployment
- Maintain documentation, testing standards, and clean processes within heavyweight projects
- Work collaboratively within agile frameworks (Scrum or Kanban)
What We're Looking For
- Completed degree in Computer Science, Business Informatics, or equivalent qualification with relevant professional experience
- Minimum 3 years hands-on experience implementing digital projects in an agency environment within interdisciplinary teams
- Excellent knowledge of TYPO3 and TYPO3 frameworks (Extbase, Fluid, TypoScript)
- Strong foundation in PHP and object-oriented programming (Clean Code, OOP principles)
- Proficiency with Git branching strategies (GitFlow, GithubFlow, Trunk-Based)
- Experience with Docker, DDEV, and PhpStorm
- Working knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL)
- Proven experience developing custom TYPO3 extensions and architectural design
- Practical experience with agile methodologies
- Business acumen, strong communication skills, and attention to detail
- Team spirit, reliability, and enthusiasm for continuous learning
- German language proficiency required for this role
