Senior SAP TM & BN4L Consultant (f/m/d)

Responsibilities

We are representing a confidential SAP consulting organization seeking a Senior SAP TM & BN4L Consultant to join their team in Heidelberg, Germany. In this role, you will lead functional workstreams on logistics and transportation projects, implementing solutions based on SAP Transportation Management and SAP Business Network for Logistics in international project environments.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

• Implementing business processes and designing SAP solutions in logistics and transportation using SAP TM and SAP BN4L
• Taking ownership of functional streams within SAP projects, from requirement analysis through configuration, testing, and go-live support
• Configuring SAP TM and SAP BN4L including unit and integration testing, documentation, and validation activities
• Translating business requirements into functional specifications and supporting development teams during build, testing, and deployment phases
• Contributing actively to workshops with business stakeholders and supporting solution decision-making
• Planning and implementing work packages within Transportation Management and Business Network for Logistics projects while ensuring high-quality delivery

What We're Looking For

Our client requires a seasoned consultant with the following qualifications:

• Minimum 5–7+ years of hands-on experience with SAP Transportation Management and/or SAP Business Network for Logistics
• Functional and/or technical proficiency demonstrated in at least three full-cycle SAP implementation projects
• Proven ability to explain and demonstrate SAP TM and BN4L processes and identify process optimization opportunities
• Strong cross-module knowledge enabling end-to-end logistics and transportation process design
• Solid configuration and solution design skills
• Consulting mindset with ability to propose multiple business process improvement options, clearly articulating pros and cons
• Experience across multiple industries with a strong understanding of logistics and transportation processes
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent qualification
• Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills in both English and German
• Excellent analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
• Team player comfortable working in complex, international environments
• Willingness to travel depending on project requirements

Preferred qualifications:

• SAP certifications in SAP Transportation Management and/or SAP Business Network for Logistics
• Exposure to pre-sales activities such as solution input or proposal support
• Experience using AI to optimize delivery in areas such as process analysis, testing support, and reporting
