About the Role

Coast Medical Service is recruiting a dedicated MRI Technician for a 6-week travel assignment beginning July 27, 2026, in the James Island area of Charleston County. This full-time role provides a day shift schedule working four 10-hour days per week, earning $2,378 weekly. As a travel MRI position, this assignment combines professional growth with the flexibility and variety that come with contract-based healthcare staffing. You'll work with a supportive team committed to delivering high-quality diagnostic imaging services across Charleston's healthcare facilities.

Responsibilities

• Operate magnetic resonance imaging equipment while maintaining strict safety and quality protocols
• Position patients and secure immobilization devices to obtain optimal diagnostic images
• Communicate clearly with patients before and during MRI procedures to ensure comfort and compliance
• Monitor patient vital signs and respond appropriately to medical emergencies or patient concerns
• Maintain detailed records of procedures and patient information in accordance with HIPAA regulations
• Coordinate with radiologists and medical staff to ensure imaging studies meet clinical requirements
• Keep MRI equipment properly maintained and report any malfunctions to management

Requirements

• Current ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) certification in MRI or equivalent state licensure
• Valid healthcare provider CPR certification
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced clinical environment
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with patients and medical teams
• Physical capability to stand for extended periods and assist with patient positioning
• Flexibility and adaptability to travel assignments and varying work environments
