Travel Emergency Department Registered Nurse

About the Role

This travel RN position is embedded in an Emergency Department setting in Fort Defiance, AZ, with shifts running 12 hours on nights, with schedule flexibility. The assignment spans 13 weeks at 36 hours per week, with a projected start date of August 9, 2026. As a travel ED nurse placed by MedPro Healthcare Staffing, you'll step into an active clinical environment where skilled emergency nursing directly impacts patient outcomes.

What You'll Do

• Perform comprehensive triage assessments and prioritize patient care based on acuity in a fast-paced ED environment
• Administer medications, initiate IVs, and carry out physician-directed treatment plans for emergency patients
• Monitor and interpret vital signs, cardiac rhythms, and lab values, escalating changes in patient condition promptly
• Collaborate with physicians, specialists, and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate seamless emergency care
• Document clinical findings and interventions accurately in the electronic health record
• Support patient and family communication throughout the emergency care process

What We're Looking For

• Active RN licensure valid in Arizona (or compact license eligibility)
• Proven clinical experience in an Emergency Department setting
• Proficiency in ACLS, BLS, and emergency triage protocols
• Ability to adapt quickly to new facilities, EHR systems, and care team dynamics — a core skill for travel nursing success
• Strong critical thinking under pressure and effective communication across care teams
• Availability to commit to the full 13-week duration beginning August 9, 2026
