Travel Nurse RN – Cardiac Cath Lab

MedPro Healthcare Staffing is placing a full-time Travel Nurse RN in the Cardiac Cath Lab at a facility in Arlington, Texas — a high-impact assignment for an experienced cath lab clinician ready to bring specialized cardiovascular expertise to the Arlington County area.

About the Role

This 13-week travel nursing contract begins July 21, 2026, with 10-hour day shifts totaling 40 hours per week. As a Cardiac Cath Lab RN in Arlington, you will work alongside interventional cardiology teams in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment where precision and clinical confidence are essential every shift.

What You'll Do

• Assist physicians during diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterization procedures, including coronary angiography, stent placement, and hemodynamic monitoring
• Perform pre-procedure patient assessment, education, and informed consent verification
• Monitor patient status continuously throughout procedures, responding promptly to changes in hemodynamic stability or rhythm
• Operate and troubleshoot cath lab equipment including fluoroscopy, pressure monitoring systems, and contrast injectors
• Prepare sterile fields and manage supplies and medications in accordance with unit protocols
• Provide post-procedure recovery care and coordinate with cardiovascular step-down or ICU teams as needed
• Maintain thorough, accurate documentation in the electronic health record
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary staff to uphold patient safety and procedural quality standards

What We're Looking For

• Active RN license in good standing (compact or Texas state licensure preferred)
• Minimum 1–2 years of Cardiac Cath Lab RN experience in an acute care setting
• Proficiency in scrubbing and circulating cath lab cases
• Solid understanding of cardiac anatomy, interventional cardiology procedures, and hemodynamic principles
• BLS and ACLS certification current at time of assignment start
• Strong communication skills and the ability to perform calmly under pressure in time-sensitive procedures
• Flexibility and adaptability consistent with travel nursing practice
