Maintenance Technician II

Continental is hiring a Maintenance Technician II for our Uvalde, TX facility. As a full-time member of our maintenance team, you'll play an essential role keeping our equipment and production systems running safely and efficiently.

Position Summary

This is a full-time maintenance position where you'll perform hands-on equipment care, troubleshooting, and repair at our Uvalde, Texas manufacturing location. In this Maintenance Technician II role, you'll work with mechanical and electrical systems, coordinate with production teams, and maintain the high safety and quality standards Continental expects. The position offers the chance to deepen your technical expertise while directly supporting our operations.

What You'll Do

• Perform preventive maintenance and scheduled inspections on production and facility equipment
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic system failures quickly to minimize downtime
• Collaborate with operators, supervisors, and other technicians to prioritize repairs and support production goals
• Document maintenance activities, repairs completed, and parts replaced for record-keeping and compliance
• Follow all safety protocols, lockout/tagout procedures, and Continental's quality standards
• Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying equipment issues before they escalate

Qualifications

• At least 1–2 years of hands-on maintenance or technician-level experience with industrial equipment
• Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic systems
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to read technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Willingness to work shift schedules as needed to support operations
