Key Responsibilities
- Deliver attentive, evidence-based nursing care to laboring and postpartum patients
- Monitor maternal and fetal status throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
- Assist physicians and the care team during vaginal and cesarean births
- Provide newborn assessment and support immediately following delivery
- Educate and reassure patients and families at every stage of the birthing process
- Document care accurately and collaborate with the multidisciplinary team
Qualifications
- Active, unencumbered RN license valid for the assignment location
- Demonstrated experience as a Labor and Delivery nurse
- Current relevant certifications appropriate to obstetric nursing practice
- Availability to commit to a 13-week, 36-hour-per-week schedule on 12-hour shifts
- Strong clinical judgment, adaptability, and excellent communication skills
