The Opportunity

We are seeking a Team Leader - National Data Collection to join the New Zealand Government. As a key member of our team, you will manage a group of Data Collection Specialists dedicated to conducting calls with businesses and individuals for national surveys. This role is essential in ensuring high-quality data collection that supports informed decision-making across various sectors.

What You'll Do

• Oversee the day-to-day operations of the National Data Collection team, ensuring smooth workflow and efficient task management.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance call quality and respondent satisfaction, fostering a positive user experience.
• Recruit, train, and mentor Data Collection Specialists, setting clear performance expectations and providing constructive feedback.
• Analyze data collection trends and provide insights to inform future survey designs and methodologies.

Who We're Looking For

• A proven leader with at least 5 years of experience in managing teams within a similar context or relevant field.
• Strong interpersonal skills, capable of building rapport with team members and stakeholders alike.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities to handle complex issues effectively.
• Familiarity with data collection methodologies and survey design principles is advantageous.
